Application of linear control valve for vulcanizing rubber autoclave
This case is an example. In rubber production, vulcanizing autoclaves are important equipment for processing rubber at high temperature and pressure, improving the physical properties of the product. This process, also known as vulcanization, makes the rubber more durable, more elastic and more heat resistant.
The operation of vulcanizing autoclaves is usually a batch process, including placing the product in a large pressure vessel, filling it with steam, and after vulcanization is complete, releasing the gas and reducing the pressure to remove the product. The ability to remove air inside the vessel during the initial stage of steam supply to the autoclave greatly affects the processing time and product quality.
If manual handwheel valves are used to remove the initial gas and operate other manual valves such as the exhaust valve and the steam trap bypass valve installed on the vulcanizing autoclave. The air cannot be completely removed, causing the temperature inside the autoclave to not increase enough and the heating time to be prolonged, which will lead to poor product quality and unqualified products.
Solution:
Linear control valve installed in the vulcanized rubber autoclave
The automatic control system integrates a pneumatic control ball valve (1) for the steam supply and a pneumatic control valve for steam discharge (2) to monitor and optimize the internal temperature and pressure.

In addition to the steam discharge control valve, an automatic valve on the bypass pipe of the steam trap supports rapid air discharge at start-up. A vent, using a pressure-balanced thermostat, will discharge residual air from the autoclave before or during operation.
A high-precision linear control valve (3) for steam helps maintain a stable pressure inside the autoclave, even if air is discharged during operation. This linear control valve also includes a steam trap and integrated separator with a condensate separation efficiency of up to 98%. In addition to providing stable pressure, it also provides dry steam, reducing start-up time and preventing quality problems due to condensate entrainment.

Results
Reduce start-up time, improve product quality and shorten operator working time
By quickly and efficiently venting air from multiple locations, not only is the start-up time significantly shortened, but the operator can also bring the temperature inside the autoclave close to the temperature of the supplied steam. When the excess air is vented, the temperature during vulcanization is stabilized and the number of defective products is reduced.
The gradual pressure reduction of the autoclave after the vulcanization process is also automated, eliminating manual valve operation which depends heavily on experience and intuition.
