Operating principle of Oil-on-water detector ÖAWD ÖAWD-8

The alarm device is used to detect oil on the water surface. OAWD includes a controller with alarm warning, Test/Unlock buttons and relay output. OAWD oil on water detector operates based on the principle of electrical conduction. The controller is mounted on the wall. SWS floating probe is installed in the tank, water tank to detect oil. If an oil layer (at least 2 mm) is detected on the water surface, the alarm device will activate an alarm warning and store the alarm status. After the cause of the alarm has been removed, press the Unlock button to reset the OAWD. The alarm will be disabled. The Test key allows you to simulate an alarm condition to perform a functional test. Voltage-free relay contacts are provided for connecting additional signalling devices (such as the ZAG01), or pumps, valves, additional alarm devices or reporting systems. The alarm devices are suitable for installation on the control panel with mounting brackets. Sealing kits (IP 54) are available for harsh application conditions as the controller is only IP 40. The OAWD-8 Oil-on-Water Detector has an 8 second delay to avoid false alarms in applications with turbulent surfaces.
